Question 1

What is PGTracker?

Accepted Answer

PGTracker is PG management software for owners in India. You keep the property, beds, residents, and rent in one place. Each morning you see what is overdue or empty, and one action sits at the top of a short list.

Question 2

How is PGTracker different from other PG management software?

Accepted Answer

A register stores who stays where. PGTracker also shows the problems that need you today: late rent, empty beds, a checkout that is due, a complaint, or an enquiry that is waiting. The list is short. You still make the call, collect the rent, or assign the bed.

Question 3

Is my data safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your data is private to your account and protected using secure enterprise-grade infrastructure and encrypted communication.

Question 4

Can I import my existing data?

Accepted Answer

You can set up rooms and beds yourself during onboarding, starting from a resident list or spreadsheet you already keep. If you want help mapping a large list, contact support. Timing depends on the size of the file — there is no automatic import promise.

Question 5

How does the WhatsApp reminder integration work?

Accepted Answer

PGTracker prepares payment reminder templates with the amount due and UPI details. It does not send them through an automated bot. You or your staff review the draft and send it from WhatsApp.

Question 6

Does PGTracker support multiple properties?

Accepted Answer

Free and Grow each include 1 property. Pro includes up to 3 properties, Business up to 10, and Enterprise is scoped with sales. You switch the active property in the dashboard. The plan you are on sets the limit.

Question 7

Does PGTracker work for hostels?

Accepted Answer

Yes. PGTracker is for PG accommodations, hostels, and other shared-living operators. How many beds and properties you can add depends on the plan, which is listed on the pricing page.

Question 8

Can I switch from Excel or WhatsApp?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Most owners start there. You add the property and the beds yourself, then record residents and payments in PGTracker instead of searching chats and sheets for the same facts.

Question 9

How quickly can I start?

Accepted Answer

Create the account, then add the property, the room layout, and the rents. After that, the morning list can show occupancy, overdue rent, and the next action. There is no separate health report.

Question 10

Will I actually use this daily?

Accepted Answer

The product is built as one ranked queue — who to collect from, which bed to fill, and which inquiry to call — so the morning check is a single list instead of separate calls, chats, and spreadsheets.

Question 11

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer
